Seven ISO certifications
Based on our vision and our strategy to achieve developmental goals, improve operational efficiency and strengthen our competitive position, Kuwait Insurance House has obtained seven ISO certifications.
Kuwait Insurance House is the only insurance broker in the region holding seven ISO certifications.
What a certification actually is
An ISO certification is not a badge a company awards itself. Each one is a published international standard, and holding it means an external auditor has examined how the firm works against that standard and will come back to check again. What follows is what each of the seven governs, and why it matters to someone placing insurance through us.
-
ISO 90012015
Quality Management System
The general standard for how an organisation runs itself: defined processes, measured results, and a duty to correct what falls short. For a broker it is the backbone the other six sit on — it governs how an enquiry becomes a placement, and how a placement is reviewed.
-
ISO/IEC 270012022
Information Security Management System
How information is classified, who may reach it, and what happens when something goes wrong. Placing insurance means handling valuations, claims histories, medical details and payroll data. This standard governs how that material is held and who inside the firm can see it.
-
ISO 223012019
Business Continuity Management
What keeps running when something disrupts the office. Claims do not pause for a power cut or a closure, so this standard sets which functions must continue, how quickly they must be back, and who is responsible for restoring them.
-
ISO 310002018
Risk Management
A framework for identifying, assessing and treating risk. A broker applies it twice over — to the exposures we are asked to place for clients, and to the risks the brokerage itself carries in doing so.
-
ISO 100012018
Customer Satisfaction — Codes of Conduct
What the firm commits to in writing before anything goes wrong: the promises made to clients about service, and the internal rules that make those promises enforceable rather than decorative.
-
ISO 100022018
Customer Satisfaction — Complaints Handling
How a complaint is received, recorded, escalated and closed, and within what time. In brokerage this matters most at the point a claim is disputed — the standard defines the route a client takes when they are not satisfied with an outcome.
-
ISO 100042018
Customer Satisfaction — Monitoring and Measuring
The discipline of checking whether clients are actually satisfied rather than assuming it. It sets how satisfaction is measured, how often, and what has to happen when the measurement comes back poor.
Why we hold them
These certifications are evidence of the standard the company holds itself to, and of an ongoing commitment to the policies and guidelines that govern every business-related process. They are maintained by audit, not by assertion.
